Someone once said I had a way with words. Well, here are a few for him. This skin was originally designed for someone I don't know, who wanted a skin made in memory of a friend they had lost. I spent a few days thinking about it, and the resulting skin was not far from this one. However, by the time I had finished it, this project had taken on a different aspect for me.
It's difficult to explain - I don't want the preceding to alter your attitude toward this skin; I merely offered that as history. Rather, I would hope that you might find something different in it. I would like you to look at it, to listen to it, and to think about it. Because really, that's what life is isn't it - a reflection of ourselves, of what we give up to it, or put into it. I don't care if you appreciate the work that's gone into it, if you just think it's pretty or relaxing, or if you just plain hate it. But before you make up your mind, I'd like you to think about what you think. Above anything else, I'd like you to think, to be cognizant, to recognize and appreciate the beauty of the lives we have been given. Too often we become overcome with the 'small' things in life. Those small things are what make up life, true, but not when we use them as a refuge, an excuse to refuse or forget the 'big' things. Birth, death, pain and beauty are all part of the same package.
This amp was made for LilP, Duk and Jayn, and is dedicated to Pixelpusher, a regular at the Skin Love forum over at Winamp.com, who gave notice a few days ago. This amp, as I've said, wasn't made for him, but how I've come to feel about it I think is a fair reflection of how we felt about his departure. Take care PP, good luck whatever you do.
